Your St. Lucia Bucket List: 4 Tours That Will Blow Your Mind

Experience the Carribean island like no other with these three worthy tours.

a view of St. Lucia

There’re many ways to explore St. Lucia on your own, and you probably can if you’re comfortable driving long distances in a funky environment to what most people are used to. However, if you ask me, booking tours that include transportation is your best option. You get to relax and talk to locals about their livelihood, the island, and hear many recommendations they can give you. Most tours will last the entire day or at least most of it and will help you have a better understanding of the country’s history. Best of all, the atmosphere of the tours you book is energetic and vibrant, and sometimes you can head home with a few new friends here and there. Without further a due, here are the top three tours I would recommend in St. Lucia:

#4: Hotel Chocolat: From Tree to Bar Tour with Tasting in St. Lucia

make your own chocolate in St. Lucia

If you want to try doing something new, you should try to make your own chocolate. Hotel Chocolat provides a great experience for tourists by providing a lesson on how to make your own chocolate. You get to use fresh ingredients from the island while having fun customizing your chocolate. The best part is when you get to try it at home and feel proud of your accomplishment! The views in the area are also very beautiful and worthy of some Instagram photos. Get your tickets here

#3: St. Lucia Private ATV Tour

I know this might sound contradictory to what I recommended about not driving, but this tour was actually a nice experience. I say this because we got to drive in the more local areas, and we got to see things that most tours don’t show. Our guide even took us past his home so we could pick up some fresh fruit from his mango tree. We even had a really nice view of the ocean that I didn’t get to see anywhere else on the island. The tour guide took us to a forest and explained to us a little bit more about the country’s past and how people make a living. We got to see old ruins of old homes and jail cells, all out in the open in the jungle. Driving the ATV was fun of course, and you get to stop and take a lot of pictures if you want. I would recommend you do this towards the end of your trip. Get tickets here

#2: Babonneau/Castries: Rainforest Zip Line, Tram, and Hike Tour

rainforest adventure St. Lucia

St. Lucia’s rainforest is full of adventure. Among the things you can do is zipline and ride the tram to the top of the rainforest. The ziplining is easy and fun to do with the added value of the ocean and rainforest views. There’s a total of seven or eight ziplines that you get to complete, beginning from the very top of the rainforest. This tour includes transportation and a guided tour throughout the entire experience. There is a good amount of walking required to reach some of the ziplining platforms, but the views make up for the walking. Get your tickets here

#1: From Castries: Full-Day Catamaran Tour to Soufriere

waterfall in St. Lucia

Without a doubt in my mind, I would highly recommend you make sure to do this tour. Even if this is the only tour you get to do or decide to do, it is a must! You get to socialize with other people from across the world while enjoying a fun atmosphere on a sailboat. The boat has room for you to get tan or just sit and enjoy the ocean breeze. Not to mention the drinks you can have on the boat that come included with the tour.

This tour takes you to the Sulphur Springs, where the volcano and mud baths are. You get to enjoy the mud for about 30 minutes and get to see the volcano as well. On your way to the springs, you get to pass by the streets of Soufriere, which are very colorful and old fashioned. After eating a nice lunch, you get to refresh yourself at the Toraille Waterfall. If you don’t wish to go under the waterfall, you can always just take pictures in the environment.

To cap off the day, the boat takes you to a private beach where you can swim and snorkel if you like. You are sure to have a great time throughout the day while experiencing some of St. Lucia’s best views and learning more about the island. Get your tickets here

There really is something for everyone in St. Lucia. From beaches to hiking to making chocolate, this experience is sure to last a lifetime. Let yourself explore the island, and I know you’ll fall in love with this country as much as I did.
